A Star is born ....

As many know, Austin works out of the house as a coder for a company that develops a product where, mostly media outlets, can set up discussion groups and a commenting forum. Well, President-elect Obama's team and their change.gov website is now incorporating Austin's company's product onto their site and he made the news at New England Cable News and you can watch it here . Where you see the video (wait for the commercial to end), just fast forward the progress bar to about the 1:45 remaining point and take a listen. Let's hope Austin, like Barack, is willing to share the wealth :).

Turkey-cation

Well, our Texas Thanksgiving vacation is in full swing as can be verified with the protruding of the guts! Whataburger, Mexican food, brisket, chicken fried chicken, brownies, pumpkin pie--nothing is safe around here from being devoured. Lasagna and smoked turkey both in the calorie forecast.

Teri arrived with Austin last Friday so they could attend an organized tour at U.T. for entering freshmen. Cam and I flew together on Southwest and came in on Monday morning.

First time since March 2007 that our whole family has arrived on a trip together. Cameron's girlfriend is back home watching our house, along with guard dog Shelly. We heard from her that as soon as Shelly came in the home she immediately plopped herself on the couch, a canine sin at our place--guess she is just challenging the caretaker with a little of her 12 year 'bitchy' (get it) attitude. Another first--Kelli, Dan and Brynn drove in from Colorado on Saturday and Kevin and his family arrive Thursday morning--so, first time in 20 years we have all gathered at the Nunns for Thanksgiving.

Teri and I met with a realtor in Burnet yesterday and spent about 3 hours touring the area and checking out 3 different properties. We definitely liked two, but who knows if they will still be on the market when/if ours sells back in CO. It was more intended to meet the realtor and to rule out areas. For sure, we ruled out living in town or even rural subdivisions.

That's it, time to go figure out many calories "keyboard typing" burns...

4 Sale...

Well, it's been on the market for a week now, so we are settling into the ways of home selling. It does inspire (force) you to keep your house in immaculate condition. We had a stager that came over and spent over an hour with Teri giving her the best ideas. The market is slow, but we did have four showings in the first four days. Of the four, we are in the "Top 2" for one couple. If want to take a look, you can go here and click on Panoramic View.

Pray for a quick sell!

Ebay Tornado...

Well, the collection of EBAY inventory gathered through out the Summer had its happy ending last night, all be it with the house for sale, probably was not the best of timing! Mrs. Claus and I spent 2 quality hours together to get the first 60 paid items on their merry way last night and today. We WONT be doing the "100" listings any more, but will revert back to our 25 per Sunday offerings, especially in light of home showings.

Stats:
Items listed: 100
Items sold : 97 (average Ebay rate for clothes sellers is 40%)
Furthest customer: Bulgaria
Gross proceeds: $1,540.00 (best night ever)
2008 Resolution: $10,000 in gross sales
Year to Date: $10, 741 !

Congrats.....

We enjoyed a great time last night at Austin's season ending cross country party. Of the 29 high school runners, Austin was the only one to make All State Academic team from Ralston Valley High School. To receive this award, the runner must maintain a GPA of at least 3.6. He also accomplished his goal this season to beat 20:00 in their 5K competitions with a 19:59 personal record and ran his fastest mile split ever with a 5:40! I knew intelligence was hereditary, but who would of known speed, as well. You will just have to figure out which parent sent you those genes. :) We are proud of you !
