2008 Goals-Quarterly Report

Wow, 1/4 of 2008 has now expired. Well, keeping me on track were my publicized goals. Let's see where we are at for the 1st quarter.

1) Change template on my Blog
DONE!

2) "Rubber 1,609 K" exercise goal-1,000 miles--
1st Qtr Goal-264 miles
1st Qtr Actual-453 miles!

On my adventure from Arvada,CO to Austin, TX--I am now
departing the southern edge of Amarillo! However, this
goal just got a bunch tougher as my exercise bike at my
work location is no longer available.

3) Do something big for God--
Feb: Paid off credit card to become completely
debt free (non-mortgage)

March:--prompted by the Holy spirit to invite my entire
work crew to
church. Our work group has seen its
share of struggles, mostly self-imposed,
so I sent
everyone a group email to their home email account
and
shared my testimony and encouraged them to see
a different way.
Although I was indifferent to any
response I got (I just wanted to be
obedient to the
calling), it was well-received from those who contacted

me and expressed their appreciation.

4) Take a family airplane vacation.

It's paid for, just do not know where we are going yet.
Teri and Austin crave Mexico, I want to do something
different in the Motherland.

5) Ebay biz goal of $10,000 gross, annual income
1st Qtr Goal:$2,499
1st Qtr Actual:$3,990

This goal will now become more challenging as we switch
to selling Summer clothing--harder to find plus final
selling price for shorts and the like are much lower
than Winter clothing.

6)
Home improvements-master bath/living room
floors

Well, we have decided we want slate for both of our
home entry ways and laminated, wood flooring with
an aged-look in our bathroom. Photos and measurements
have been taken---now we just need to find a laborer!

7) Be a good neighbor.
One thing that really influenced my heart this year
through listening and reading is Jesus really intended
to keep this all simple--love Him, love your neighbors
and take care of the elderly, widows and orphans. So,
for the Winter time at least, I have put this into play
by snow shoveling our entire cul-de-sac sidewalk.
Additionally, I shovel the driveways of my widow
neighbor and the most elder couple at the end of
the block. What to do for Summer?

8) Help support Cameron's flying efforts
and goals

We have helped in various ways, mostly financial,
which is his preferred way :)Agreed to use his college
fund to pay for periodic FAA updated testing. Gave him
some cash to apply toward fuel for a Cessna flight
or toward Commercial flight, he opted for commercial
flight, for his Spring break Seattle trip. Allowed
him to file himself as his own dependent
significantly increasing his tax refund of which part
went into his flying fund!

9)Help support Austin's business adventure
www.blogonize.com/> with ideas, solutions,
financing, etc.

Not only this adventure, but now several more brewing
ideas. He has been on the road recently alot to
Boulder for brain-storming purposes.

10) Buy Teri tennis shoes
DONE!
